 | Taylor County Sep. 7 (Won 2-1) Possessing the ball 98% of the game, the shooting Trojans fire 21 shots on goal and manage to score 2 goals. Bubba Woody scores on an assist from Ryan Caves in the first half. Elijah Linscott heads in the game winner assisted by Devin Sowells in the 2nd half. Tyler Malcolm makes 4 saves in the net.
Campbell County Sep. 11 (Lost 0-2) North gives up an early goal and cannot fight back against an experienced team. Tyler Malcolm makes 5 saves.
Shelby County Sep. 11 (Won 4-1) North regains its focus and composure with Elijah Linscott coming off the bench to score 3 goals and get an assist. Also scoring was Steve Packer. Picking up assists were Hunter McGee (2), Rickey Skoog, and Travis Harlan. Tyler Makes 3 saves for the win.
Holy Cross Sep. 12 (Won 6-0) Earning a shut-out for the first time in almost a month, the Trojans manage 37 shots on goal. Great passing results in a host of Trojans garnering goals and assists. Steve Packer has 2 goals along with Ryan Caves, Hunter McGee, Shawn Heberle, Devin Sowells. Assisting on goals: Elijah Linscott, Rickey Skoog, Shawn Heberle, Devin Sowells, Steve Packer, and Bubba Woody
E-town Sep. 14 (Lost 0-1) Playing 80 inspired minutes, the Trojans dominated every phase of the game except the score. Every member played great team soccer! Tough loss, but one that we will remember and use positively in the future!
Nelson County Sep. 16 (Lost 0-3) Trojans drop a disappointing road game after playing a respectable first half.
Warren Central Sep. 18 (Tied 2-2) Down 0-1 at the half, the Trojans play a much improved 2nd half to take a 2-1 lead. Josh Cho recorded his first varsity goal of the season with a beautiful shot to the lower left corner. 10 minutes later, Elijah Linscott pounds home a Travis Harlan direct free kick. A questionable offsides call allows the host team to knot the score even. Tyler Malcolm makes 10 saves.
Eastern Sep. 23 (Lost 0-2) Tied at the half, the Trojans surrender a goal 3 minutes into the 2nd half and yield another with less than 2 minutes later. Tyler Malcolm records 8 saves as the Trojans are out passed most of the game.
Butler Sep. 25 (Won 2-0) The Trojans play with a sense of purpose in the first half and score twice. Elijah Linscott scores on a nice feed from Darren Lewis. Darren connects on a penalty kick. Tyler Malcolm makes six saves and earns his 3rd shut-out.
Hart County Sep. 27 (Won 10-0) Unselfish passing, spacing, and communication lead to the shut-out win. Darren Lewis had 2 goals and 1 assist, Hunter McGee had 2 goals, Devin Sowells had 1 goal and 2 assists, Steve Packer and Ryan Caves both had 1 goal and 1 assist, Dominic Sparkling, Justin Pennny, and Justin Musselman each had a goal while Rickey Skoog, Josh Cho, Shawn Heberle, and Elijah Linscott all had an assist.
Fort Knox Sep. 28 (Won 2-1) Hunter McGee scored with an assist from Elijah Linscott to put the Trojans up 1-0. After Knox tied the score, Josh Cho rocketed an unassisted goal with 1.4 seconds left before halftime to put the Trojans up to stay for good. Tyler Malcolm made 3 saves for the victory
Boyle County Oct. 5 (Won 2-0) Showing glimpses of playoff intensity, the Trojans strike 20 seconds into the contest when Darren Lewis scores with an assist to Rickey Skoog. About 7 minutes later, Elijah Linscott heads in an assist from Devin Sowells. Tyler Malcolm makes 3 saves for the 5th shutout of the season.
Anderson County Oct. 7 (Won 3-2) Senior night is celebrated with a hard fought victory over a tough opponent. Jordan Hill heads home an Elijah Linscott corner kick. Elijah scores from Rickey Skoog to make it 2-0. Up 2-1 at halftime, Darren Lewis scores assisted by Josh Cho to increase the lead to 3-1. Trojan defense holds on for an important victory. Tyler Malcolm makes 6 saves.
District Playoffs:
Meade County Oct. 10 (Won 3-0) Great win on a Sunday! North dominated the game. Rickey Skoog scores his first goal of the year! Travis rockets a 40 yarder into net and Elijah Linscott rounds out the scoring. Picking up assists were Jordan Hill and Shawn Heberle. Tyler Malcolm and the defense combine for the team’s 6th shutout.
E-town Oct. 12 (Lost 1-2 in shoot-out) Tied 0-0 at the half, the Trojans go down 0-1 with about 31 minutes to play in the 2nd half. Elijah Linscott ties the game off a corner kick scramble in front of the net with about 4 minutes left in regulation. Tense moments ensue through all 4 overtime periods with some chances to score. Penalty kicks prove disastrous as E-town connects on all 4 shots, while only Travis Harlan scores for North.
North wraps up the season with a 12-8-3 final record. Great job Trojans! It was a very good season and we should be even better for 2011!
